The hotel of Hortus Naturae Hotels was opened in 1992 in the heart of the Hortobágy National Park.
Hortobágy National Park is the first national park in Hungary and has been inscribed into the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1999.
The hotel of the Hortobágy has 54 twinbed rooms and 4 suites, and 20 apartment houses are available for guests as well.
The rooms and suites of the hotel are all equipped with bathroom, color TV and have balcony. Most of the hotel rooms could be provided with an extra bed for children.
The apartment houses surround the main hotel building semicircularly; each house is two-storeyed with one apartment per storey. Apartments in the same house can be separated as having an own entrance, but in case of a bigger company they are merged into one giving a total area of 180 m2. Each apartments of the hotel has two twinbed rooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom (with a sofa bed in the living room suitable for two children). Apartment houses are equipped with TV, telephone and have an own garden.
In the main hotel building can be found the covered bath: a bigger, 25-metre waveless swimming pool and a smaller hot water pool, sauna, fitness room, massage, solarium and pool bar. Behind the hotel’s bath is a tennis hardcourt, sandy beach volleyball court, hanging bowling and a grassy soccer court is awaiting guests. An aromatherapy steam bath and tanning garden equipped with shower are connected to the hotel's bath.
Catering and nature protection
The hotel has two restaurants: Hajdú Restaurant on a bigger area and Magyaros Restaurant on a smaller. The two restaurants have a terrace where sunset as a painting theme can be observed in summer evenings.
Catering services of the hotel also provide a Bar, billiard and darts.
The hotel offers services for individual guests and groups, and ensures the organization of conferences, company events and trainings as well. Hajdú Room in the hotel is available for up to 250 guests, but we can provide also smaller rooms for 15-20 guests.
The buildings of Hortobágy Club Hotel fit harmoniously into the landscape of Hortobágy. The imposing set of buildings is located at the riverside of River Hortobágy, close to the settlement Hortobágy, far away from any noise. Guests arriving here enter to a separate world, the world of leisure, active holiday and entertainment.
Programs organized by the hotel
The Hortobágy and its surroundings offer great possibilities for learning and entertainment, and the hotel itself also organizes programs in every season. In summer mainly outdoor events are attractive, such as sports facilities, tennis courts, soccer court, beach volleyball court, terrace connected to the restaurant, bicycle and boat rental, speed boating on the River Hortobágy and horse carriage trip on the 'Puszta'. Garden parties are also popular where guests can taste traditional pastoral meals of the Hortobágy and other specialties prepared over open fire as well. In autumn and winter the hotel offers several indoor possibilities for leisure.
Companies that plan training of its staff, party for guests or conference to partners also came to the right place to the hotel of the Hortobágy.
Some regular programs of the hotel are in connection with Hungarian festive holidays, such as Easter, Pentecost, May 1, August 20 and New Year weekends that offer multiple days of family programs. The hotel also offers special programs according to the season's characteristics. Summer programs are offered especially for families and visitors interested in the Hortobágy. In autumn elderly people are focused in our special offers and at the autumn holiday time families looking for amusement, entertainment and relaxation again. Winter is mainly the time of company events and conferences.
